The road through the heavens
Long ago, astronomers looked up at the night sky and saw more than scattered lights. They saw roads. The ancient Chinese called the great celestial avenue 天衢, the heavenly thoroughfare, and they described the currents linking star to star as 星脉, the veins and pulse of the sky. In their eyes, the heavens were not empty. They were a network.
Far to the west, the Greeks gave that upper sky a name of its own: Aether, the bright, pure medium the gods breathed. Centuries later, scientists believed light itself traveled through the aether. When engineers built the first great computer network, they named it Ethernet in its honor.
Then, in the twentieth century, a quiet engineer named Harry Nyquist asked a deceptively simple question: how fast can a signal truly travel through a channel? His answer defined the limits that every high-speed link still pushes against today.
AetherQuist is born where these stories meet.
Aether is the heaven that carries light. Qu is 衢, the thoroughfare where every road meets. Quist honors Nyquist, and the pursuit of speed at the very edge of what physics allows.
Today, the stars we connect are processors: GPUs, switches, and chiplets, each one a point of light in the vast constellations that power artificial intelligence. Between them run our links, carrying billions of pulses every second, a modern 星脉 beating through silicon.
We build the heavenly thoroughfare for the age of intelligence. Where every signal finds its way.
